He obtained a Diploma, Wildlife and Park Management from University of South Australia, 1990 - 1994.
He was was introduced to nature by his grandfather Bert

passion for Western Australian nature and in shaping his future. Since
then he has enjoyed a career involved in the conservation of nature
across some of the most significant landscapes in South Western
Australia.
He came to the Jerramungup district, as a ranger
in Fitzgerald River National Park at Jacup in 1991.

His interests are in the improved understanding of broader
landscape biogeography and ecology, and in particular the natural
distribution of the eucalypts and their use in ecological restoration. He
was also fortunate to have the opportunity to have travelled with and
be influenced by George Gardner and the late Ken Newbey.
