Miller, Victor Henry (1875 - 1974)Born on 8 Nov 1875, St Kilda, Victoria; died on 4 Jul 1974 (aged 98)
Murrumbeena, Victoria.
He was the ninth child of Jacob and Catherine (nee Streeting) Miller, a cabinet maker, furniture dealer and a St Kilda Councillor.
Victor was a member of, and also served as President of, the Horticultural Society of Victoria, the Field Naturalists' Club and the Bird Observers' Club and was an executive of the Historical Society of Victoria.
An ornamental bird bath (also called a bird fountain) was presented by Victor Miller to the City of St Kilda for the St Kilda Botanical Gardens in Blessington Street on April 14, 1928.
The presentation ceremony was reported in the Prahran Telegraph of April 20, 1928:
